The last comic is good because I cried myself to sleep last night and it’s always good to be topical.

I’m not working on anything and I won’t be working on anything for a very long time. Sometimes I show people song demos or make a comic on a zine-sized index card but all I really do anymore is try to find public places to sit down, act self-aware about things I should change and eat fast food. Then I get in good moods and try to do something decent and regret it later. Then I tell strangers my problems because I don’t know who to talk to anymore.

On a positive note Weezer has signed to “indie label Epitaph Records.”

1) fire & robot pro skater is coming soon, sponsored by fire & robot, features high school treegirl when she used to wear black make up and wore black & purple striped socks instead of brown & green. that’s right i just threw some character backstory at you. i’m serious about stuff. robot helmet merchandise coming soon. i’m serious.
2) working on fire & robot #002. rocketpackdash.com is out of order because i am a dude who likes to change his mind. the first zine was okay but this one is making me happier and the rocketpack comic (draft pictured above) is comin outta me smoother than spit on a cop car (hatin cops since ’86 spread the word)
3) the new cloud of ghosts album is becoming less of me doodling on a four track and more of me trying to work out an actual set of songs that i enjoy. so far there is:
- song that sounds like a mountain (?)
- energetic song with the cloud of ghosts leitmotif for a climax
- attempt to rip off the ’90s by having maximum ’90s strummin style, with the cloud of ghosts leitmotif for a climax
- “gardens” perhaps slower or just fixed up haven’t actually worked on this actually
- rough sounding grungy song
- song that sounds like a sleepier version of “1979″ by the smashing pumpkins + “moon moon moon” by the microphones but i actually forgot how to play it
- like five instrumentals
4) it takes me five weeks to send out one person’s zines and i am sorry. f&r#002 will come out in the right time and will be sent out in the right way.
5) i haven’t done a post like this in forever and i might realize why when i press ‘publish’
6) i like things and i like people and i hope you have a good day and thanks a lot very much

i’m “working” on an ep on my four track
i’m sending out one more zine to someone and then i will probably just scan it and post it online
besides that i am not sure if i am bad at everything but it is possible, and it could be why i am just posting a color test and rocketpack is just a gag comic in my journal now and other stuff

hey did you send anything for a zine? did you not get a zine yet? you will get a zine soon. i am slow because i am bad with business. also my worldview has changed over the course of a few days and everything smells and feels different. anyone interested in a refund because they feel discouraged? i am fine with refunds.
i have no computer and internet is near but not a priority anymore. it is a dream come true. you might have to send me something in the mail from now on. is that a bother? before things were like hungry jack pancake mix, now it’s like making the pancakes from scratch. please think of it as making pancakes from scratch and it’ll all go smoothly. hey what is my address? what is my phone number? do i have a p.o. box instead of an address? no i don’t. i’ll just have to delay a bit more.

but everyone should have their zines mailed out by now. sorry for the wait. what a weird year this is. thanks so much everyone. thanks a bunch of tanks.

zine ordering update

all right so i fucked up a bit. my paypal address was not matt at thissite.com. i only forward e-mail from that address to my real e-mail, which is also my paypal address, hence the confusion. the thing IS, the money is totally not an issue and i will not accept re-payments. i just need addresses. so if your address was included in the paypal email, please send it again to:

Hi folks, the fire & robot zine #001 is finished and basically ready to go. The zine just costs a dollar. It’s 22 pages, cover/back not included. I’d like to do some extra bribe thing but I don’t really dig the system so I’m just going to say if you hand over a dollar or even a bit less and your address I’ll send you a zine.
If you’d like a zine, e-mail me at:

with your address and I’ll give you either my address or my PayPal e-mail (hint: it is the same e-mail address). An example of an e-mail could be like:

what’s going on in the world today

NOTHING.
Actually the zine is on its way to becoming a finished thing. It will cost you one dollars and fifty cents. I took way too long to finish something this short. It will probably take you one bus ride from your home to the “good” grocery store a ways out from your house to finish reading. When it’s finished I’ll make a post about it.
Rocketpack is obviously dormant and I feel pretty bad about that. I don’t really have any excuses, save for my personal instability.
I bought a new guitar and a neat VOX amp so hopefully I will be able to get back into recording music again. I will probably make something obnoxious and fun to get back into things.
It’s 2010. Still don’t see any Meal Helmets. Still can’t ‘teleport’ to work. Still can’t plug a USB cable into my neck. Still can’t connect with other people on a personal level.
